BYOFH (Be Your Own F***ing Hero)

The Axios Collective started as a blog called “500 Days to Freedom,” in which I manically sought out discomfort and unfucked my life in order to heal and “be my own fucking hero.” It was a self-love story, and part of self-love that nobody talks about is owning up to your own short comings, recognizing the role you play in your own suffering, and letting go of resentment of your situation. Real self-love is ugly… raw… and not easy… but you’ll be better for it.

Nobody is coming to save you. Not from fires or drownings or life or heartbreak… you HAVE to save yourself. You have to BYOFH…
